September 14th this year hoping to beat PBs and relax with a weeks fishing. We certainly found more Jeff and Shan were amazing hosts and the food package was great. Everyday the evening meal was the best of the trip. Not to mention the breakfast and lunch baguettes. We hired all the kit except reels and alarms presonal preference but all kit used was mint. Even waders provided.
Jeff certainly knows his stuff when it comes to the lake and is on hand 24hours a day if required. On arrival we walked round we discussed tactics tweeks and things we could do to help us find and locate the fish. Which we did resulting in some truly amazing fish on the bank 30s 40s and 50s which broke PBs all through the week. I cannot wait to return next year to try and beat the PBs again as I know the fish are there to smash them
Also the airport pickup and drop off was great

What can I say… Not really having any expectations on my first carp fishing trip to France, today has blown anything I could have expected out of the water is an understatement!
The Queen of the lake, at 61lb is something I couldn’t have dreamed of but patience and confidence in my bait a Catalyst wafter from Spotted Fin – Carp and tactics have paid off big time!
After a finicky bite I lifted into something that I’ve never experienced before but after a 40 minute slog and exceptional gillying by Ringo Taylor the net slipped under a carp of my dreams…
An immaculate bar of gold from the stunning Etang Rouge lake is something I shall never forget and feel lucky to have been graced with her presence
