Interesting week with Smithy and Angela here until their return flight from Limoges this morning; fantastic start to the week with Smithys capture of Boris the big common, setting a new lake record and his PB Common at just a few ounces shy of 68lb, a previously uncaught mirror of mid 40’s and the first #etangrouge baby we’ve seen with a lovely upper double Gray mirror. The conditions weren’t ideal with a cold easterly wind for the whole week until the Friday pm, high pressure and an abundance of tadpoles which I believe the carp have become fixated on munching! Despite these factors, fish recorded from the new baby upper double, twenties, 30’s, 40’s and upper 60’s along with a raucous night on the Eau de Vie midweek all contributed to a good craic for the week
